The Regents’ original

Barbara Ann was a big hit for the Beach Boys in 1966 but the original recording was a doo wop song by the Regents in 1958

Jimi Hendrix had an international hit with All Along the Watchtower but it started out as a Bob Dylan album track.

Chubby Checked set the world alight with the new dance craze, the twist. The song was originally a B-side for Hank Ballard and the Midnighters.
