Elvis contacted President Nixon for a meeting and on 20 December 1970 they came together at the White House.

When the meeting ended Nixon gave Elvis a Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs badge, which made him a drugs enforcement officers.

In turn, Elvis presented the President with a World War II era Colt 45 in a presentation box
