This month we’ll be chatting about some of the lesser known Merseybeat bands in Liverpool. In the first half of the 1960s Liverpool led the way, and spearheaded the British Invasion (when UK groups dominated America). The Beatles, Gerry and the Pacemakers, The Searchers and many other Liverpool bands were household names but we’ll be chatting about other, equally-talented bands who never quite cracked the big-time. Amazing live acts such as: Howie Casey and the Seniors, Faron’s Flamingos, Kingsize Taylor and the Dominoes, The Dennisons, The Mojos and others. We’ll take a look at the reasons why some bands made the transition to national, and international, fame and some didn’t…
