This month we’ll be looking at the life of the iconic guitarist Jimi Hendrix. From his early days in local bands, through his army career and American experience playing in the touring bands of rock’n’roll royalty, Little Richard and Sam Cooke, before being brought to the UK by Chas Chandler and finding international success with the Jimi Hendrix Experience. Before coming to the UK he signed a management contract with Ed Chalpin in 1965, a decision that would come back to haunt him for the rest of his career. In fact, the financial wranglings around his affairs lasted well beyond his death.
