This month we’ll be looking at the life and times of R&B and soul giant Jackie Wilson. From his early days as a boxer and gospel singer, to his untimely demise when he collapsed onstage in 1975. He had a string of hits on both sides of the Atlantic in the 1960s and early ’70s, Jimi Hendrix played in his backing band and he helped to fund the formation of the Motown empire with his hits written by Berry Gordy Jr.
